ARC READER TERMS
The short version: read the book, post an honest review, don't share the file. Here are the details!
WHAT IS AN ARC?
ARC stands for Advance Reader Copy. It's an early edition of a book sent to readers before the official release date. ARC readers get to read the book first, and in return, they post an honest review when the book goes live. Reviews are how other readers find indie authors -- it's genuinely one of the most impactful things you can do!
WHAT YOU AGREE TO
- Post a review on Amazon within 5 days of the book's release date.
- Post a review on Goodreads anytime after reading.
- Be honest. Your review must be your genuine opinion. I want to know what you actually thought!
- Don't share the file. The ARC is for your personal reading only.
- Avoid major spoilers in your review. Vague vibes are great. Chapter summaries are not.
WHAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO
- Give a positive review. Honest is better than flattering. Always.
- Post on social media. If you want to, amazing! But never required.
- Finish the book. If it's not for you, just email me. No hard feelings. I'd rather know than wonder.
